Sherwin Alumina is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Maintenance Mechanic to work at the Sherwin Alumina Plant located near Corpus Christi, Texas. The Maintenance Mechanic classification is a multi-craft position requiring skills in welding, pipe fitting, millwright, heavy equipment, hydraulic mechanic, and iron working. Position requires high school diploma or equivalent and 3 years industrial craft experience preferred or successful completion of a 2 year technical program. These positions could require rotating shifts, heavy lifting, climbing stairs, and working around heights. Successful candidates will be dedicated to safety, quality, teamwork, and motivated to become a member of a growing organization. Applicants will be interviewed and must pass written/practical exams and a post-employment offer physical/drug screen.
